DJ AM found dead in his New York City apartment at around 5:20 p.m., with a drug paraphernalia at the scene.
Friends worried for a few days that DJ AM had not been seen nor heard. Until his friends decided to check on him. After knocking to his apartment door and got no response, his friend decided to call the police who gained entrance to his apartment and found Adam Goldstein dead.
DJ AM rep released a statement regarding his death :
“Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time.”
MTV has an upcoming reality show with DJ AM called “Gone Too Far,” which has eight episodes.
