Craigslist Suspect Dies- The suspected killer Philip Markoff committed suicide while he was waiting for the trial of Julissa Brisman, he allegedly killed at the Boston Marriott Copley Place during an alleged robbery.
Trial was scheduled for next March but now authorities can’t do anything since they can’t prosecute a dead man. As a matter of fact the charges can be dismissed. There has been no comment from the Brisman family regarding the next steps in the case. They could go and file a civil lawsuit. At least now, Philip Markoff and his victim’s families will be spared by the agony of listening to the sad details of their loved one’s secret lives. Now everyone can work through their grief and find closure.
