Starting yesterday National Capital Region Police Office or NCRPO, distributed thousands of whistles to students as part of anti-criminality drive by the police in Metro Manila.
In an interview with the PNP Press Corps to NCRPO spokesman Supt. Rommel Miranda, “For students, we will be distributing whistles, and we will continue to distribute up to the end of the first week of school classes.”
The whistle will get the attention of the witnesses to help the victim capture the potential criminal. It is also an effective way for the authorities deployed in the vicinity of the school to rescue the victim. And Miranda added, the whistles are not only just a pair of whistles, they will also share the information to students how to help, prevent and suppression of crimes.
NAPOLCOM’s Pito Laban sa Krimen Program is a very good idea of our police to help prevent or suppression of crime. Hope they will continue to strive to attain good service.
